Are your hire vehicles compliant with the Tfl Direct Vision Standard?
Yes, all our vehicles over 12t are compliant with and hold DVS star permits allowing access into the governed areas.

 

What are your operational hours?
We are contactable 24hrs a day 7 days a week 365 days a year on our main office number. Our offices are open from 9am to 5pm Monday - Friday and we open on Saturdays and Sundays by appointment only.

 

Do you offer a tracking service for vehicles?
Yes all our hire vehicles are tracked and customers have access to this platform included in the hire charge. All of our larger vehicles +3.5t come with recording CCTV as well as tracking and this service is also provided free of charge. We also provide the same system as standard to all our vehicles we sell.

 

Can we fit our own branding and livery to your hire vehicles?
We do allow customers to fit their own branding on our vehicles with prior permission. On most of our longer term hire vehicles this service is included when we build the vehicles.

 

We ask that customers do not remove the safety markings or statutory markings when applying their own livery and any livery they fit is removed prior to the return of the vehicle to avoid any removal charges.
 

Do you offer collection and delivery? and what are your charges?
We do offer collection and delivery service for all our hire vehicles but this is subject to availability. Our charges vary and are determined on vehicle type, location, time and type of hire. These will be confirmed at time of hire or vehicle purchase should collection and or delivery be required.

 

Do I need an Operator's Licence to hire your vehicles?
For all vehicles that are 3.5t tonnes gross vehicle weight (gvw) or lower customers are not requested to have an Operator's Licence and we do not seek this confirmation.

 

For vehicles that are above 3.5t gvw and are used to carry goods on public roads for trade or business purposes you do need an Operator's Licence and we do require this confirmation prior to such hires taking place.
 

Do you charge administration fees?
In some instances yes we do, these are covered in our terms and conditions.
If we receive a fine or charge because you haven’t paid a charge or complied with the law then an administration charge of £15 per notification is made to cover processing costs.

 

We may also provide a copy of the Rental Agreement to the authority or private company that has issued the fine or charge if we consider they have a right to the information and the law allows us to do so.
 

We also charge for failed attendance and presentation for pre arranged service and maintenance appointments.
 

Do you have a refuelling charge for hire vehicles?
Yes our policy is to provide all our vehicles with full fuel and ad blue and to be returned with the same. On deliveries arranged by ourselves when leaving our depot all vehicles leave with full fuel and on collections arranged by ourselves all vehicles are fully fuelled on return.

 

We charge a refuelling charge based on the previous monthly released AA fuel price report + £0.50p per litre. The AA fuel price report can be found here
 

Do you offer funding options for you vehicles and vehicle conversions?
At BT-HS we can introduce you to funders under a now obligation introduction who specialise in commercial vehicle funding.
 

Can we supply our own chassis for conversion?
Yes, while we have access to various chassis some of our customers have national fleet arrangements with chassis manufacturers. We can convert on either free issue chassis supplied by our customers or chassis we source on your behalf.

 

Do your vehicles come with a warranty?
Yes, all BT-HS vehicles come with a bumper to bumper 3 year warranty for complete piece of mind. We place a lot of emphasis on our quality and quality procedures, to ensure that the vehicles we provide our customers are to the best workmanship standard from the day they leave our workshops. This allows us the confidence to place a 3 year warranty on all our vehicles.
