Electrical Vehicle Technician

At Bespoke Traffic and Highway Solutions Limited we specialise in the fabrication and conversion of specialised bespoke vehicles to varied industries, including motorway maintenance, rail and the emergency services like police fire and ambulance vehicles.

Based in our brand new premises in Croston Lancashire our independent family run company focuses on ensuring all our vehicles are built using our twin pillars of Safety and Quality.

 

The Role

 

As a Electrical Vehicle Technician, you will join a team of highly skilled and passionate technicians who build and convert vehicles for our customers. Day to day you will fit, diagnose, repair, install and implement electrical and hydraulic systems into various vehicles from motorbikes and cars through to large HGV's.

 

Installing a wide range of electrical components experience of installing vehicle lighting, winches, tail lifts, tow bars, sonic sensors is essential. The creation and testing of vehicle wiring looms including the ability to read and understand wiring and technical diagrams. While not exhaustive there will be instances when help and assistance is required from your colleagues so adaptability and versatility is essential.

 

The ability to work individually as well as part of a cohesive team with a "can do" attitude is paramount. Meeting production deadlines and targets while consistently ensuring adherence to Health and Safety rules and good housekeeping.

 

About You

 

Attitude is key at Bespoke Traffic and Highway Solutions Limited. However, for this role we require the following

  • NVQ Level 2 in a relevant qualification (or a proven minimum of 2 years of experience as a vehicle technician or similar role)

  • Strong knowledge of vehicle electronics, including both 12v and 24v systems

  • Hands on manufacturing experience ideally in commercial vehicle bodywork or trailer manufacturing

  • Demonstratable skill of using various hand tools

The important bit

 

Salary: From £25,506 to £37,440 plus overtime (depending on demonstratable experience) and bonus scheme.

Holidays: Statutory holiday entitlement, plus one additional day for your birthday. Entitlement is increased by one day per year of service also.

Pension: Nest company and employee contribution

Benefits: Health insurance and cash back scheme, company EMI share ownership (after qualification period).

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 0600-1600 with additional overtime and Saturday working available.
